If that still isn’t enough than you should offer your evaluation for free instead of asking for prospective clients to pay for something additional they have already completed and are willing to provide proof of. While I understand the need to ensure that dogs know safe play habits before they can join a play group we were happy to provide them as we had already went through this entire process elsewhere and were happy to provide all necessary proof. I also told her I would be happy to have the instructor that worked with us and our dog call and provide a reference for his play style. When I called to inquire about play times I told the woman I would be happy to provide his certificates from Ahimsa proving that he successfully completed several levels there. I wanted to respond to the business owners comment below as it didn’t address the issue at all. While I understand the dogs need to be evaluated to make sure they play safe with the other dogs if you have already done that at a different reputable business you shouldn’t have to go through an obedience class there as well. My dog went through Ahimsa training and all of their play groups including being invited back to teen play but Zoom Room wouldn’t let us attend a play group without first attending an obedience class with them.
After I finished the groupon, decided not to come back anymore.
I sort of just forced my dog into an agility class and truth be told she did fine and equally as well as some of the other dogs in the class she was taking it with. I sent my dog to ahimsa three 6 session courses and somehow my dog still only qualified for obedience one course. If anything the evaluation should be free because it would allow you to decide whether it was a good fit.
The evaluation that was part of the groupon was really a gimmick to getting people to feel like they paid for a useful evaluation. If it was a dog training facility, I would have preferred being sold on the teaching. I didn’t like the feeling of being pressured to by things every time I come. I felt like everyday I came I was told there’s a deal for some product they have in their store. While I thought the facility was a nice small one, I certainly didn’t feel comfortable coming here. Thought it would be nice to take her close by for doggy play time. I came here a while back with my dog because I purchase a groupon.
